FAQ’s

What can I expect from a one-to-one ecotherapy session?

First things first. Before we decide whether we want to work together, I’ll set up a phone call so we can find out more about each other. I’ll also send you a questionnaire, asking about your mental and physical health, any past conditions or issues and how you relate to nature in your regular life.

This phone call will be completely confidential and you won’t be under any obligation to start working with me, if it doesn’t feel right for any reason.

If we decide to work together, we’ll co-create our sessions. I always start with resourcing, so I would suggest that we spend some time in nature, where we can try some activities that will help relax, resource and ultimately, revitalise you. After that, if you want to go deeper, we can start to work with issues that you feel are problematic.

Some of this will feel like talking therapy, but some of it won’t. We’ll work with mindfulness and sensory awareness and we may try completely different things; like creative activities, breathing exercises and rituals.

How much does it cost?

I charge £65 for a 1.5 hour session. I also offer a block of six sessions for £360 (saving you £30). I would really recommend that you book for the block because, as with any form of therapy, it takes a while to feel the benefits.

Is it possible to do ecotherapy online?

Yes. I live in the Brecon Beacons so most of my one-to-one work is based there. However, I also work on Zoom with clients all over the UK. The big difference with this is that I’ll ask you to go out into nature near where you live and I’ll give you activities to try. You could go to your own back garden, the local park or even just a tree on your street. The idea of working like this is that you start to build an emotional relationship with the natural world on your doorstep. It can be really powerful. However, it means the sessions work differently, because I’ll ask you to feedback from one session to the next. For this reason you’ll need to sign up for at least six sessions.

What kind of group work do you offer?

I run a lot of ‘wellbeing in nature’ days. The focus can vary. For example, I’ve done forest bathing, foraging and outdoor cooking, mindful walks, mandala and natural sculpture-making, wildlife habitat creation and Celtic seasonal ceremonies.

I can create bespoke day events to suit your organisation’s needs – just get in touch to discuss.

How much do group events cost?

It depends. For corporate day events my fees are higher than for small or community-based organisations. My charges will include; planning and set-up time, responding to enquiries/emails, marketing (if required) and the time taken to actually facilitate the event. Please get in touch if you’d like me to run something for your organisation and I’ll be able to give you a better idea of costs.

Where are you based?

I live in the Brecon Beacons national park and I often work here, but I also run events all over the UK.
