MINDFUL WALKS

Walking is one of the best ways to experience the therapeutic benefits of nature, because it’s something most of us are familiar and comfortable with.

However, mindful walking is quite different to walking the dog. Most of us are not really connected to what’s around us when we walk; we’re stuck in our own heads.

Mindful walking encourages us to slow down and really notice what is going on around us.

My walks always include grounding and sensory exercises, because they help bring us into our own bodies (instead of staying in our thinking, rational minds).

Sometimes we observe animals, birds, trees and plants or stop to experience the beauty that is always arounds us in nature.

What People Are Saying

“I never realised how powerful it could be to simply feel the grass under my feet, the breeze in my hair or the sun on my skin. No matter how stressed I am or what is going on in my life, I now know that doing a mindful walk will always make me feel better.”
