NATURE CONNECTION WORKSHOPS

I create a range of nature connection workshops and events that offer the chance to engage with the natural world, try ecotherapy activities, meet others and share stories around a campfire.

It’s all about connecting with nature, meeting other people and learning some simple tools to take away with you, so you can support your own wellbeing in everyday life.

Activities often include:

• The sit spot. Sitting quietly and observing nature, focussing on your physical senses and gently pulling yourself back to them whenever you get caught up in your thoughts.

• Creative work. For example, making a ‘sculpture’ out of natural, found objects. This exercise works best with a theme, for example, asking participants to think about the journey of their lives up to this point. What they make will be a reflection of this journey.

Sensory walking. Walking very slowly, in silence and single file, through a range of landscapes. The facilitator leads the way and guides people to focus on one sense at a time. For instance, we may start with a focus on what we can feel through our feet, then move on to what we can hear, see and smell.

We may also incorporate storytelling, forest bathing, music or working on the land to create or enhance wildlife habitats.

All these activities resource and revitalise people, teach them new skills and help them build meaningful connections with others.

What People Are Saying

“Thank you Caroline, for making this experience so wonderfull. It was a relaxing, informative and fun day spent in nature. We did a group activity, making a mandala on the forest floor to celebrate the Celtic festival of Beltane. It was very special.”
